CH-Aero was founded by Coen Smit, former Technical Director of Air Holland and Stella Aviation Technics at Schiphol. After years of watching skilled engineers wrestle with jacks, pods and processes that were slower and riskier than they needed to be, he designed a more durable, reliable and accurate system. This is where the AW5-2 weighing platforms series were introduced, and the foundation of CH-Aero.
We weigh everything: helicopters, business jets, regional aircraft, narrow-bodies, wide-bodies and the heaviest cargo freighters. Across every major aircraft type, our engineers have built up a depth of operational W&B experience that is unmatched in the industry.
Today we are the European market leader in aircraft weight and balance, with multiple weighing stations across Europe, and from September 2026, active in India through our Alliance Partner Field International.

No jacking means no risk of aircraft damage during the weighing process, and significantly less ground time. A narrow-body is fully weighed in under 1 hour. A wide-body in under 2 hours. The signed W&B report is produced on-site and delivered before the aircraft returns to service.

Platform weighing has replaced loadcell pod procedures at major MROs and operators across Europe. We are bringing the equipment to your facility and demonstrating it on your own aircraft, so you can see the difference firsthand.

CH-Aero compliance & quality
DGCA COMPLIANCE
CH-Aero operates as a certified subcontractor under your CAR-145 licence. No additional DGCA approval is required on your end.
There is no EASA equipment certification for aircraft weighing scales, for platform scales or loadcell pods.
What counts is ±0.1% calibrated accuracy. We meet and exceed that standard on every weighing.

Setup in under 30 minutes
We explain how the scales are positioned under the wheel points and how to safely push the aircraft onto the scales. No jacking, no specialist equipment. Your team and ours do this together.

THE AIRCRAFT WEIGHING
Your engineers operate the scales
Scale readings appear on the display in real time.
Immediately after the weighing, you can compare the result with the previous weighing on the spot, showing in real time how effective, fast and reliable the process is.

Full certified report at no cost
CH-Aero produces the full certified weight and balance report directly after the demo. Signed, traceable, legally defensible. Created and signed by CH-Aero under ISO 9001:2015. 0.1% accuracy verified.

We are here to listen and understand your operation. No maximum group size, bring your full team. The demo can also be organised jointly between operators or between an operator and their MRO.
