CH-Aero supported SAMCO Aircraft Maintenance with a weighing operation that presented a unique logistical challenge: there wasn’t enough space in the hangar to maneuver the aircraft using a tow truck. Despite the limitation, the aircraft still required a certified weight and balance check.

Together with the SAMCO team, CH-Aero implemented a reliable alternative—safely jacking the aircraft and lowering it directly onto the weighing platforms. The goal was clear: maintain weighing accuracy without compromising on safety or compliance, even in a restricted working environment.

Our Approach

With towing off the table, CH-Aero’s team worked closely with SAMCO’s engineers to execute a manual jack-and-lower procedure using our certified AW5-2 weighing platforms. Clear communication, efficient coordination, and mutual trust ensured the process ran smoothly from start to finish.

The weighing was carried out with full technical precision, and within the constraints of the limited space, reinforcing the importance of flexibility and expertise in real-world maintenance settings.
